About time in Amsterdam

Amsterdam uses Central European Time (UTC+1) and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2). Clocks go forward on the last Sunday of March and back on the last Sunday of October, in step with the rest of the EU. Until 1940 the Netherlands kept its own "Amsterdam Time", about 20 minutes ahead of GMT, before switching to CET during the German occupation.
